When urban projects present logistical roadblocks, most contractors look for shortcuts. Globe Iron brings the “big boots.” For the Textile project, we wrangled two distinct rooftops—one requiring high-altitude crane acrobatics and another requiring old-fashioned hand-carried hustle.
High-Rise Hustle and Window Relays.
Urban roofing is 50% technical craft and 50% logistical choreography. The Textile project required our “Empowered Crews” to solve different problems on different levels of the same building.
The Main Roof (High-Altitude Precision)
We mobilized a full crane operation, managing cones, caution tape, and street-level safety to peel off the legacy layers and install a thick “roof blanket” of insulation sealed with heat-welded TPO.
The Curb Roof (The Window Relay)
With no crane access, our crews hand-carried every square foot of material and passed them through a window relay race to reach the curb roof. No grumbles, just muscle and a commitment to getting the job done right.
Zero Shortcut Philosophy
Whether we were heat-welding a sharp corner on the main roof or hand-hauling scrap back through a window, we ensured not a single shortcut was taken. We flashed every corner, curb, and pipe to the Globe Iron standard.

The Textile project proved that Globe Iron is the partner of choice for downtown Cincinnati’s toughest logistical builds. We left the site with two watertight, heat-reflective systems and a cleanup that left the property in better condition than we found it.
